Hello Kitty

I pass by a B&B over on Parliament Street everyday, and sometimes this cat will be lounging around. I am so tempted to just go in and cuddle it, but takut kena marah la pulak...

So for now, I guess I'll just be saying HELLO to Kitty. Yes, I've named it Kitty. How unimaginative, I know.

As for my cats back home...I miss all of you sooo much. Sigh. If only they could read this.

M16s to replace tongkats?

I am really against this idea.

In a world where muslims are trying hard to send out the message that we heart peace, he comes up with this.

What do you think?

So what's in YOUR bag?

This is why, it is absolutely necessary for me to carry big bags around. I can't tote small Guess bags. No-uh. Not me.

What's in my magical MOOKS pouch, you say? Lemme see-baby powder, hand sanitizer, contact lens solution, mini perfume sprays, hand lotion, lip balm, and minyak angin.

KLIA tops Changi

The world's best airport has been revealed, and it's jeng jeng jeng...INCHEON! I must say I was surprised at first. I mean, Incheon? I don't remember it being amazing in terms of customer service.

Then, I remembered they've got some ridiculously clean loos there.

Say you wash your hands. Sink gets wet right? No worries, there's always a lady right beside you to wipe it dry.

Then she will proceed to disinfect whatever you've touched. The tap. The automatic dryer. The very floor you walked on. If she could legally spray you, she would.

Embarassed that someone might be able to listen to you while you're doing your business? You can turn on the music. Mak aih, canggih toilet diorang...

Hong Kong's 2nd on the list, followed closely by Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. Hah!

I've always thought that Changi's a bit dreary, and I find it odd that it has always come up tops. Last year, travelling from bright, open-spaced, clean KLIA, I was greeted by a very much closed and darkened Changi (felt like I couldn't breathe). Not only that, some kid probably threw up at the Transit Section, and because the whole place was carpeted, the pungent smell of puke didn't go away. Ugh.

Also, compared to Changi, we've got way more toilets. Jalan sikit toilet. Jalan sikit toilet. KLIA's probably Britney's idea of Disneyland! OOOOOO so many loos to choose from...

I can't say I remember much about HK's airport, except that it was SUPER busy. And uh, the runway's on water or surrounded by water or something like that.

Hopefully KLIA will be moving up the ladder next year!

Summer has ended!

It's been raining all day, and according to the forecast, winter'll be here by Wednesday. I surely won't mind the temperature going down a little, since I have been complaining to just about everyone that it's too hot (mengada kan?). However, I dread facing the rain and the wind. Oh windy days just make me so nervous.

Anyway, it seems that the fireworks display at Auckland Domain on Saturday night sorta sealed the deal on summer. I'm guessing we won't be getting anymore festivals coming our way.

On rainy days like this with the kitchen in a far, far away land, all I can think about is FOOD. And there were tons at the Auckland Lantern Festival. Satay, Curry Mee, Rendang, Nasi Lemak, Milk Teas, Popiah...Why bother cooking?

What's a lantern fest without lanterns?

A lil' tribute to the lady who barbequed the corns. They were good. Really good.

Then there was the Pasifika Festival over on the weekends. I went there in 2005, and enjoyed the Chop Suey that was sold at almost every stall, so obviously, come Saturday, I had to head down to Western Springs. This time around, my Chop Suey's a bit salty, but definately better than the ones being sold at the Otara Market. MUST learn how to cook Chop Suey.

Paella, Garlic and Butter Prawns, and my Chop Suey.

Didn't have the Paella though. The whole idea of cooking rice, prawns, mussels, and god knows what in a LARGE pan makes me sick.

Oh dear, I'm having a headache trying to put in the pictures here, I'll just leave it as it is, then.

G'nite!

And that's a hat-trick!

Lionel Messi scored 3 goals for Barca against Real Madrid on Saturday, and I didn't get to watch the match. Bugger...

"He saved us from defeat tonight; when a player scores three goals that means he's been special" Frank Rijkaard

Best young player? Me think!

Now, if only he was in this form in the game against Liverpool.
